We have a test on Egypt in class on Monday witch is the last mod.  Today we like a Prezi on Modern Day Egypt.
  • First we talked about the ECONOMY. Tourism is a big part of the economy.  They have oil, natural gas, and manufacturing
  • Only 3% of the land is arable.  They grow cotton, corn, rice, wheat, and fava beans
  • The Aswan High Dan controls the flooding, and helps increase the arable land.
  •  Their official language is Arabic.
  • The Capitol is Cairo.  Around 6.7 million people.
  • The religion is around 90% Muslim, most of the rest is Christian(Coptic). MAJOR CONFLICKS
  • Than we talk about their politics, government, and revolution. We went from 1922-2011. 1956- Egypt declared a Republic. 1981-2011- ruled by Hosni Mubarak; he we driven from office last month.
