Class 3-10-11

Today at the beginning of class Mr. Schick read to us out of a book called History of the World and we also went over the power point that we started to make yesterday.


The Perian Empire was the greatest empire the anciant world had ever seen.  The Greeks did not like the Perians because they drafted them into the amy.


Barbarians- a person living outside the north of the Romen empire; anyone who is not Greek.


Ionia was the ancient region present-day Turkey.  The city of Ionia was founded by Greek colonists from the other side of the Aegean Sea.  A large part of the area was covered in mountains. None of the mountains were larger that 4,000 feet. It had three extremely fertile valleys that rivers ran though.


Cyrus the Great was the first to be called the Great.


Darius the Great was the Kadofy of his time.


Marathon was part of the Persian Wars.  First victory in the Persian Wars for the Greeks.

Herodotus a historian.
